Product Tip: Surfaces for staining should be sanded as smooth as possible prior to staining. Apply the dyes directly by rag to the bare wood. Work the color over the surface to ensure an even color. Do not pour the dye onto the surface, as this may cause a darker area which will be difficult to remove. Allow to dry completely before starting the next stage of your finish. these dyes are compatible with most known finishes and can be intermixed for color matching.
