If applying Briwax waxes with a cloth should prove unsatisfactory, a coarser applicator may be used. Steel wool is very well suited to the total reconditioning properties of Briwax waxes. The Rhodes American 8 pad steel wool poly-pack delivers just the right amount of product for the project minded do-it-yourselfer. Available in 8 grades: from Extra Coarse (#4) for heavy-duty stripping to Super Fine (#0000) for polishing. There is a grade for every need. Product Tip: Select a finer grade of steel wool than you think you need. As you apply the BRIWAX, observe what is happening to the finish. If the finish is being removed too fast, then change the wool to a less coarse texture. If the finish appears to be slow in removing, then select a coarser texture wool to complete the job. Whenever working with any steel wool, care should be taken as you are attempting to recondition the original finish, not to remove it entirely. The BRIWAX will act as a lubricant to the wool pad to lessen scratches and with a light finger tip side-to-side wrist motion will insure beautiful results.
