Tabletop Polish

A transparent shellac polish modified for self-levelling brush applications. Very fast drying and easy to apply, it produces a hard-wearing, but traditional finish with minimal coloration to the wood.

Button Polish

Made from unbleached shellac buttons, darker and more cloudy than French, it is a great favorite with restorers to recreate "old" finishes.

Friction Polish

Affords quick and easy finish to turned wood ware. Specially formulated for use on the lathe, it is applied on a soft cotton pad, direct to the wood. As this is a natural shellac-based product and is liable to scorch, excessive speeds should be avoided. Best results are achieved by applying one thin coat, allowing a few minutes to dry, then burnishing with 0000 steel wool. A second thin application will give a deep lasting finish.
